JEHOVAH JIREH, MY PROVIDER, YOU ARE MORE THAN ENOUGH FOR ME

My grace is always more than enough for you, and my power finds its full expression through your weakness.” — 2 Corinthians 12:9

Your Weakness Is Not Your Defeat

We often associate weakness with failure. We think that if we were stronger, braver, more confident or more capable, God could use us more effectively. But the Gospel turns that thinking completely upside down.

Paul discovered something extraordinary: our weakness does not disqualify us from God’s power—it can become the very place where His power is revealed.

Jesus said to Paul,

“My grace is always more than enough for you, and my power finds its full expression through your weakness” (2 Corinthians 12:9).

Then Paul responds with remarkable faith:

“My grace is always more than enough for you, and my power finds its full expression through your weakness.” So (Paul says,) I will celebrate my weaknesses, for when I’m weak I sense more deeply the mighty power of Christ living in me. So I’m not defeated by my weakness, but delighted! For when I feel my weakness and endure mistreatment—when I’m surrounded with troubles on every side and face persecution because of my love for Christ—I am made yet stronger. For my weakness becomes a portal to God’s power.” (2 Corinthians 12:9, TPT).

Wow! I love that, “my weakness becomes a portal to God’s power.”

When You Feel Empty

I can think of some of the hardest seasons of my own life—times when I have felt weak, low, broken and completely inadequate. Yet strangely, those have often been the moments when I have experienced God’s presence most profoundly.

Perhaps you’ve discovered the same.

When our own strength runs out, we discover that His strength never does.

This doesn’t mean we glorify suffering, weakness or affliction. It means we refuse to allow them to have the final word. Whatever we cannot carry in our own strength, we can bring into the presence of the One whose grace is sufficient.

The prophet declared,

“Let the weak say, ‘I am strong!’” (Joel 3:10).

That’s not pretending we aren’t weak. It’s declaring where our strength comes from.

Receive His Grace Today

Maybe today you feel like you’ve reached the end of yourself. Perhaps you’re exhausted from fighting a battle, carrying a burden or trying to hold everything together.

Don’t stare at what’s left of your strength. Look to Jesus.

His grace is sufficient. His power is available. His presence is with you. The Holy Spirit lives within you, and the same God who has carried you this far will carry you forward.

You don’t have to manufacture supernatural strength. You simply need to surrender your weakness to Him.

Paul discovered that

“…when I feel my weakness and endure mistreatment—when I’m surrounded with troubles on every side and face persecution because of my love for Christ—I am made yet stronger. For my weakness becomes a portal to God’s power.” (2 Corinthians 12:10, TPT).

So today, don’t be ashamed of your weakness. Give it to God.

Let your weakness become the doorway through which His strength shines.

Because when you are weak, He is still strong.

Believe & Confess Meditation & Declaration

His grace is more than enough for me, and His power finds its full expression through my weakness (2 Corinthians 12:9). I can say, “I am strong,” because the Lord is the source of my strength (Joel 3:10). I am strengthened with power through the Holy Spirit in my inner being (Ephesians 3:16). The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in Him, and He helps me (Psalm 28:7). I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me (Philippians 4:13). When I am weak, I can trust that Christ’s power rests upon me, because His grace is sufficient for me (2 Corinthians 12:9).
